March 6th/7th

Delivered fuselage to paint shop and spent 14 hours in the booth with my painter, prepping, taping, painting and clear coating.  Long day, but worth every minute...

March 17th

Retrieved the finished fuselage from paint shop (absolutely gorgeous!) and started cleaning it up, removing masking and cleaning the windscreen.  Installed the door seals and doors.  Installed the rudder hardware and checked movement.  Installed the overhead console...

March 18th

Because I've decided to install a constant speed prop, I needed to make room in the flight panel for a couple of extra gauge/controller holes, so decided to just make a new panel face.  Fabricated the face from .063 aluminum and cut the holes, including the spot for the Dynon D10A, EFIS, which arrived this week.  Made up pitot and static lines for the gauges.  Firewall forward and speed kit are on order.  Will be ordering engine and prop soon...

March 19th

One year anniversary of this build found me working on the back of the flight instrument panel.  Got the EFIS hooked up and fired it up.  This thing is gonna be nice...

March 20th

Finished cleaning up the fuselage, then started working on cleaning up the wiring in the panel and installing power connectors.  Installed the ID plate.

Installed and secured the rigid fuel line from the electric pump location, under the baggage bay,  through the tunnel and through the firewall.  Now if that firewall forward kit would only get here...
